About the Role: Principal Technical Program Manager
We're seeking an exceptional Principal Technical Program Manager to join our dynamic team, focused on shaping the future of Netflix's client-facing experiences. Key Responsibilities:
- Drive Large-Scale Initiatives: Spearhead the execution of significant customer-facing projects, influencing the development of foundational technologies, architectures, and processes.
- Technical Visionary: Apply your technical, organizational, and interpersonal skills to devise sound technical approaches to abstract goals, identifying the systems required to build new solutions and adjusting priorities accordingly.
- Strategic Planning: Develop a comprehensive plan to enable multiple teams to effectively launch new experiences for Netflix clients, mitigating technical risks and ensuring seamless execution.
- Collaboration & Influence: Work closely with business partners, product managers, and engineers to drive product direction, balancing competing concerns and making informed decisions on resource allocation and scope.
- Technical Expertise: Leverage your expertise in customer software, systems design, and architecture to identify gaps in solutions, debate technical approaches, and provide insights into business, product, and technology tradeoffs.
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree: A degree in a relevant field, such as Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Technical Expertise: 10+ years of experience in product management, technical program management, software development, or leading software development projects, with a strong background in customer software, systems design, and architecture.
- Project Management Skills: Proven ability to devise and apply various approaches to executing complex initiatives, coordinating across multiple independent workstreams and stakeholders.
- Low-Latency Streaming Expertise: Experience with low-latency streaming, hardware, and systems is highly desirable.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Innovative Problem-Solving: A track record of making smart design tradeoffs to meet the needs of a rapidly growing customer base, balancing simplicity and complexity.
