Job Summary: Key Responsibilities and Expectations
As a Specialty Pharmacist - Mail Order Services, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the accurate delivery of pharmaceutical care services to our patients. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare professionals, addressing their concerns and queries in a timely and professional manner.
- Leading and guiding supporting staff to ensure seamless operations and high-quality patient care.
- Monitoring drug therapy, providing patient education, and managing chronic disease states as part of our clinical programs.
- Collaborating with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes and improve the overall quality of care.
- Staying up-to-date with the latest developments in specialty pharmacy, including new therapies, technologies, and industry trends.
- Utilizing your expertise to drive clinical programs, improve patient outcomes, and enhance the overall patient experience.
Essential Qualifications: Education, Experience, and Skills
To be successful in this role, you'll need to meet the following essential qualifications:
- A current Pharmacist License in good standing in the State of Kansas.
- A minimum of six months of pharmacy experience, preferably in a specialty pharmacy or related setting.
- Proficiency in Windows-based applications, including Microsoft Office, internet navigation, and email applications.
- A Bachelor's or PharmD degree in Pharmacy from an accredited institution.
Preferred Qualifications: Additional Experience and Skills
While not mandatory, the following qualifications are highly desirable:
- Licenses in other states, in addition to Kansas.
- Healthcare work experience, particularly in a specialty pharmacy or related setting.
- Familiarity with benefits, insurance, and prescriptions.
