About the Role

Key Responsibilities

Essential Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications:
- Illinois State certificate in music education or a related field
- Bachelor's degree in music education or a related field
- Ability to function effectively as a member of the school staff and contribute to a positive and supportive school culture
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following preferred qualifications are highly desirable:
- Master's degree in music education or a related field
- Experience teaching music classes to students of various ages and skill levels
- Expertise in orchestra or other music-related areas, such as band or choir
- Experience with music technology and software, such as Finale or Sibelius
- Ability to speak multiple languages, with a focus on languages spoken by students and families in the school community
