Key Responsibilities:
- Review and accurately code Evaluation and Management (E&M) CPT codes, along with other minor SDS procedures and procedures like Injections, Infusions, Hydrations for reimbursement.
- Assign codes to diagnoses and procedures using CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10-CM.
- Select the appropriate CPT codes for Evaluation and Management CPT codes, along with minor SDS procedures and other procedures like Injections, Infusions, Hydration.
- Ensure proper use of modifiers.
- Follow coding guidelines and legal requirements to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Meet daily coding production targets.
- Perform additional duties assigned by the coding manager as needed.
- Be flexible with shift schedules based on team requirements.
Requirements:
Essential Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of work experience in Inpatient E&M Coding, along with other SDS procedures and procedures like Injections, Infusions, Hydrations.
- Knowledge and certification in CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding are mandatory.
- Exposure to CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic computer skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a remote or hybrid environment.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHRs) and coding software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Certification in medical coding, such as CPC or CCS.
