Job Overview
As a Software Development Engineer on our Prime Video team, you'll play a critical role in designing and developing new features that enhance our customers' experience. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test new features and functionalities for Prime Video, ensuring high-quality and reliability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and develop technical solutions
- Participate in all aspects of the software development life cycle, including planning, design, development, documentation, testing, and deployment
- Own your code and be responsible for its maintenance and updates, ensuring it meets our high standards for quality and performance
- Work closely with our business stakeholders to understand their needs and develop solutions that meet those needs
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends, and apply that knowledge to improve our systems and processes
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- 3+ years of non-entry-level professional programming experience in languages such as Java, Python, or C++
- 2+ years of experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, with a focus on scalability, reliability, and performance
- Experience with full-stack software development, including front-end and back-end development
- Strong understanding of software development principles, including coding standards, code reviews, and testing
Preferred Qualifications
