The Role: Director of Software Engineering - Architecture
As a Director of Software Engineering - Architecture, you will be responsible for the strategic vision, design, and architecture management of our ad platform software engineering and data products. You will collaborate with stakeholders to understand software engineering and data needs and establish architecture standards. You will act as a strategic leader and be responsible for working with a talented team of software and data engineers to drive delivery of solutions for our business and technical partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Direction: Provide leadership and direction for software engineering and data architecture teams.
- Architectural Standards: Define and implement architectural standards, best practices, and guidelines for both software and data architecture.

- Experience: 12+ years of experience in software engineering and data architecture, with 12+ years of experience in the media industry.
- Leadership and Communication: Strong leadership, communication, and strategic skills.
- Architectural Principles: Deep understanding of architectural principles and emerging technologies.
- Project Leadership: Experience leading large-scale projects and driving technical innovation.
Skills and Competencies:
- Data Modeling: Proficient in designing and implementing object models, sequence diagrams, state diagrams, and component diagrams.
- Database Management Systems: Strong knowledge of various database systems such as MySQL, or NoSQL databases.
- AWS Cloud Services: Experience with AWS Cloud Services, including Kinesis, Dynamo, Elasticache, Elasticsearch, and SQS.
- Microservices Architectures: Understanding of microservices architectures, patterns, and principles, pros and cons.
- High Volume Distributed Systems: Best practices for high volume distributed systems.
- Programming: Familiarity with programming languages like SQL, Python, or Java.

Compensation and Benefits:
