Bucknell University's Bertrand Library is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Special Collections and University Archives Assistant to join our team on a remote basis. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the digitization and management of our esteemed archival collections related to prominent Irish and British authors. As a key player in our digital archives project, you will be responsible for converting existing finding aids into digital, searchable records in ArchivesSpace, thereby enhancing public accessibility to these invaluable resources.
Bertrand Library houses a distinctive collection of archival materials associated with notable literary figures such as William Butler Yeats, George Bernard Shaw, H.G. Wells, Oscar Wilde, and William Morris. Our mission is to digitize the existing analog finding aids for these collections and migrate them to ArchivesSpace, an online archival management system. This project aims to make these significant historical resources more accessible to researchers and the public. The role is initially set to conclude on June 30, 2025, but may be extended based on project needs.

The salary range for this position is $18.00 per hour. The offer rate will be based on a review of the candidate's credentials compared to the qualifications of the position, internal equity, and our overall compensation philosophy.
