About the Role
As a Senior Manager - External Technology Partnerships for GE Vernova Advanced Research, you will be responsible for partnering with GE Vernova business representatives, technology leaders, external partners, and government agency representatives to assess various technology spaces and identify promising new growth opportunities enabled by advanced technology. You will be a key driver in securing external funding and developing winning teams to pursue R&D opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with technical and business leaders to develop external opportunities, with a focus on securing external funding and GE matching money for R&D efforts.
- Build, lead, and coordinate efficient opportunity pursuit and proposal development plans aligned with GE Vernova and Agency priorities.
- Shape and influence future opportunities with internal and external stakeholders, leveraging your expertise and network.
- Collaborate with Principal Investigators to build winning teams, including GE Vernova Advanced Research Labs, GE Vernova Businesses, National Labs, Academia, and Industry Partners.
- Analyze market and customer data to develop external funding capture plans, working closely with GE Vernova Business market teams.
- Manage and coordinate internal and external customer interactions, maintaining a system of record for external contracts.
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's Degree with 5+ years of experience, or a Master's Degree with 3+ years of experience in a technical, business development, contract management, sales & marketing, or technical sales role, with a focus on government stakeholders and technology collaborations.
- A proven track record of working collaboratively to develop innovative ideas and drive growth opportunities.
- Demonstrated market analysis, new opportunity, and customer development skills, with a strong ability to generate leads and close deals.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Familiarity with Government Agencies such as DOE, DOD, NIH, DHS, etc.
- Willingness and ability to travel, with a valid passport.
- U.S. citizenship, as this role requires obtaining and maintaining a US Government Security Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications will be highly regarded:
- Experience working with GE Vernova or other leading energy and technology companies.
- A strong understanding of the energy and sustainability landscape, including decarbonization, renewables, and electrification.
- A proven track record of securing external funding and developing successful R&D proposals.
- Experience working with National Labs, Academia, and Industry Partners.

- A base salary range of $155,900 - $255,900 USD, annually.
