Job Summary

As a ParaEducator, Classroom Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other staff members to support students with reading, writing, and basic math skills. You will implement instruction, reinforce learning skills, and help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment. This is a remote role with flexible scheduling, offering the freedom to work from anywhere while still being part of a dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist students with classroom activities, implementing teacher instruction plans and providing individualized support
• Perform tutoring, both individually and with small groups, to ensure students master subjects
• Supervise in-person students during remote learning periods, ensuring their safety and engagement
• Assist teachers in preparing materials, administering tests, grading, and maintaining attendance records
• Monitor students during breaks, recess, time-outs, and field trips
• Assist with special projects, administer first aid, and support students with special needs
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned, including lunchroom/playground duty

Essential Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• No experience required, but experience working with school-age children is preferred
• Proficiency in Spanish required for Dual Language Program positions
• Successful completion of the District-administered ESL Training Program (approximately 15 hours) within 3 months of entering position for ESL areas

Preferred Qualifications

• First Aid certification
• Experience working with students with diverse needs
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $17.49 - $21.57 per hour, depending on experience. Our benefits package includes:
