The Account Manager is responsible for managing agency sales and marketing efforts, educating referral sources, and maintaining relationships with customers while meeting admission goals set by management.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily marketing operations, sales calls and ongoing education with referral decision makers
- Facilitate education on guidelines and agency services provided
- Participate in community education events, including speaking to healthcare professionals and institutions to provide education on services offered by Mission Healthcare
- Coordinate with physician offices for necessary documentation, such as physician signature on orders, required addendums and other documents in a timely manner
- Develop and implement marketing plans, assist in establishing territory volume projections and monitor the allocation of resources according to budgetary limitations
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of Mission Healthcare’s markets including major payor groups, key referral sources and competitor’s market positioning
- Build and maintain positive relationships with referral and payor sources
- Monitor and report on cost-effective marketing efforts
- Remain educated and up-to-date on industry and regulatory changes
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in healthcare sales, preferably in home health
- Strong communication, negotiation, and public relations skills
- Ability to assertively market and deal tactfully with patients, their families and the community
- Demonstrate autonomy, organization, assertiveness, flexibility and cooperation in performing job responsibilities
- Valid driver's license and reliable, insured vehicle
