Key Responsibilities:
- Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, scrubbing, trash removal, and sanitizing patient and staff areas
- Performing general maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs and filters
- Supplying paper products and soap
- Providing direct customer service to members of the campus and community
- Training and overseeing other custodial workers
- Managing inventory control and requesting or stocking supplies
- Reporting or requesting repairs to facilities and equipment
- Operating a variety of equipment, such as cleaning machinery, office equipment, and vehicles
- Building and maintaining a work atmosphere of trust and respect among team members
Essential Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; one (1) to three (3) years of directly related cleaning experience preferred
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain a safe work environment
- Effective communication and customer service skills
- Physical ability to lift, carry, push, and pull objects, as well as work in a variety of positions and environments
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a supervisory or team lead role
- Knowledge of cleaning and maintenance procedures, as well as safety protocols
- Experience working in a healthcare or educational setting
Skills and Competencies:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
