California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Full-Time Lecturer in Foodservice and Nutrition Systems Management. This is a fantastic opportunity to join our dynamic team in the Food Science and Nutrition Department and contribute to the education and development of our students. As a lecturer, you will have the freedom and flexibility to teach a variety of courses, including Management of Foodservice and Nutrition Systems and Culinology, with an emphasis on quantity food planning and preparation.
The Food Science and Nutrition Department at Cal Poly is a vibrant and innovative community with 12 full-time faculty members, numerous part-time faculty, support staff, and approximately 600 students. Our department offers two majors: Nutrition and Food Science, as well as a range of graduate programs, including a MS in Nutrition, a MS in Food Science, and a Dietetic Internship program. We have strong connections with industry partners and commodity boards, providing opportunities for research collaborations and experiential learning.
