About the Team
Our Tax Controversy and Advertising teams are responsible for managing tax disputes and controversies, as well as developing and implementing tax strategies to minimize our tax liability. As a Tax Data Strategy Manager, you will work closely with these teams to develop and implement data governance frameworks, validate data, and identify opportunities for process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
As a Tax Data Strategy Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Extracting and analyzing large datasets using SQL, investigating and troubleshooting complex data issues
- Translating technical findings into clear communications for leadership, tax authorities, and stakeholders
- Designing and implementing data governance frameworks and validation protocols
- Building and maintaining comprehensive dashboards and tracking systems
- Evaluating and implementing technical tools and solutions, including integration of enterprise systems
- Supporting development of audit data frameworks
- Creating and maintaining project roadmaps and completion strategies
- Cultivating and implementing solutions for existing audit practices
- Driving consensus and approvals for various tax projects and initiatives
- Developing and documenting standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Driving process improvements by conducting deep-dive analyses of current workflows to identify critical dependencies
- Leveraging Gen AI and emerging technologies to create operational efficiencies and standardization
- Developing and implementing plans to remediate technical debt and manual processes
- Evaluating and implementing technical tools and solutions, including integration of enterprise systems
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 5+ years of tax, finance, or a related analytical field experience
- 3+ years of writing SQL queries and creating business intelligence reports using Tableau, Power BI experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights
- Experience with Excel
- Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications would be beneficial:
- Master's degree in a related field
- Experience with data governance frameworks and validation protocols
- Experience with data visualization tools and technologies
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms and tools
- Experience with Gen AI and emerging technologies
