About the Role
As a Substitute Teacher with Scoot Education, you'll have the flexibility to choose your assignments and work on your own schedule. We're committed to supporting you every step of the way, providing you with the tools and resources you need to excel in the classroom.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality instruction and support to students in a variety of educational settings
- Develop and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Communicate effectively with teachers, administrators, and other school staff
- Be flexible and adaptable, with the ability to adjust to changing circumstances and priorities
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge
Essential Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor's degree, or 60+ college credits
- Three professional references, including one from a previous direct supervisor
- Ability to pass a background check (we'll cover the cost of this)
- A passion for education and putting students first
- An empathetic nature, a growth mindset, and a drive to be the best you can be
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a substitute teacher or in a related educational role
- Specialized training or certifications, such as Special Education or ESL
- Experience working with diverse student populations and communities
