Registered Nurse (RN) for Pediatric Home Health Care: Job Overview
We're seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our skilled nursing team, providing high-quality home health care to pediatric patients in the Charlottesville, VA area. As a Pediatric Home Health RN, you'll play a vital role in assessing, planning, and delivering skilled nursing care to our patients, promoting optimal health outcomes and enhancing their quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive home health assessments on pediatric patients, from newborns to teenagers, to identify their unique needs and develop individualized care plans.
- Perform skilled nursing visits, focusing on teaching, monitoring compliance, and administering various treatments, such as NG or GTube feedings and ostomy care.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic charting using Kantime, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
- Participate in ongoing education and clinical training opportunities to stay current with best practices, enhance your skills, and advance your career.
Essential Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of recent clinical nursing practice, preferably in ICU or pediatrics, with a strong passion for working with children.
- Current and unencumbered state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
- Prior Home Health experience, with a demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong clinical skills, with experience in NG or GTube feedings and ostomy care.
