Key Responsibilities
- Design, direct, and execute worldwide frameworks, solutions, and tools to reduce operating costs, increase revenue and profit, and improve service levels for internal and external clients.
- Provide leadership and direction to the human support service organization, enabling the growth and development of team members.
- Support the continued expansion of global QDM to ensure continuous improvement drives and help operations in improving their service levels, profit, and compliance.
- Establish preventive measures to ensure compliance and systems functionality as planned, and that business continuity plans are in place and effective.
- Ensure that client commitments are quantifiably measured and reported, and that continuous improvement tools are used to target areas where client maintenance is at risk.
- Lead the development and support of work policies, best practices, and job standards to ensure the safety of employees and the public, promote compliance, maximize productivity, and consider the achievement of both service level and efficiency.
- Drive the coordination of global cargo shipping capabilities, normalizing system design and use in alignment with global processes, internal policies and procedures, and global regulatory requirements.
- Ideate and lead initiatives that assist with driving client acquisition and retention within the market.
- Increase overall knowledge, support of the QDM approach, mastery and certification, and usage of QDM processes that result in business improvement.
- Work with global partners to drive cross-provincial learning and process normalization.
- Perform, review, investigate, plan, implement, and follow up on any additional responsibilities and initiatives as assigned.

- Choose, prepare, and develop a staff with the plan of creating a culture that develops employees, evokes willing optional effort, ensures employees complete all required and developmental training within established time frames, and promotes a continuous improvement and growth mentality.
- Complete leadership responsibilities in accordance with the organization's staff policies and standards, including but not limited to meeting, recruiting, and training employees, planning, allocating, and coordinating work, evaluating performance, rewarding, coaching, and addressing performance issues.
- Ideate and lead continuous improvement initiatives that assist with enhancing operations, increasing profit, driving compliance, and improving the client experience.
Prerequisites and Capabilities
Education
- Bachelor's degree/equivalent in a related field; master's degree preferred.
Certifications
- Six Sigma, Lean, or other ASQ continuous improvement certification, such as Blithequark QDM Master, highly preferred.
- Lithe, PMP, or like accreditation highly preferred.
Experience
- Demonstrated expertise in driving execution, management, and coordination of global shipping systems and landscape design, development, and implementation of automated capabilities and solutions.
- Exhibited change management and project management experience driving functional excellence continuous improvement initiatives for cross-functional operations.
- Significant related experience in managing and driving high-performing teams, improving processes, and transforming business operations.
- Strong industry knowledge, demonstrated effective leadership experience, human relations, and interpersonal skills required.
