Job Summary
We're looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented entry-level fleet repair technician to join our team. As an entry-level fleet repair technician, you'll be responsible for performing preventative maintenance on non-18 wheeler vehicles, working closely with our experienced technicians to learn the ropes, and contributing to the growth and success of our company. Key Responsibilities
As an entry-level fleet repair technician, your key responsibilities will include:
- Performing preventative maintenance on non-18 wheeler vehicles, including routine inspections, tire rotations, and other tasks as assigned
- Working closely with experienced technicians to learn the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in this role
- Assisting with repairs and maintenance tasks, including but not limited to, oil changes, brake repairs, and suspension work
- Providing exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries, and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner
- Participating in ongoing training and development programs to enhance your skills and knowledge
- Contributing to a safe and efficient work environment, adhering to company policies and procedures, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience working in a fleet repair or maintenance environment, preferably at Goodyear, Discount Tire, Southern Tire Mart, or similar tire locations
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including overtime and weekends as needed
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications would be beneficial:
- Post-secondary education in a related field, such as automotive repair or technology
- ASE certification or equivalent
- Experience with fleet management software and systems
- Knowledge of safety procedures and protocols
