Job Summary
We're seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Customer Service Representative to join our team on a permanent work-from-home basis. As a Customer Service Representative, you'll be the face of blithequark, providing exceptional service to our members via phone, internet, or written correspondence. Your role will be to engage, consult, and educate members on their plans, tools, and resources, guiding them along a clear path to care.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to customer inquiries of varying complexity, resolving issues and addressing concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Engage with members to understand their unique needs and preferences, providing personalized support and guidance.
- Document and track interactions with members, providers, and plan sponsors, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
- Utilize our customer service threshold framework to make financial decisions that resolve member issues efficiently.
- Process claim referrals, new claim handoffs, nurse reviews, complaints, grievances, and appeals via our target system.
- Educate providers on our self-service options and assist with credentialing and re-credentialing issues.
- Respond to requests from our Law Document Center regarding litigation and lawsuits.
- Handle extensive file review requests and assist in compiling claim data for customer audits.
- Determine medical necessity, applicable coverage provisions, and verify member plan eligibility relating to incoming correspondence and internal referrals.
- Perform financial data maintenance as necessary, using applicable system tools and resources to produce quality letters and spreadsheets.
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- Customer service experience in a transaction-based environment, such as a call center or retail location, demonstrating empathy and compassion.
- Experience working in a production environment.
- High school education or GED equivalent.

Compensation and Benefits
