About the Role

The Assistant Teacher plays a vital role in our centers, serving as a positive role model, creating meaningful relationships, and being a supportive resource for our students, families, and the team. This position is crucial in maintaining a safe, warm, and inviting classroom environment that fosters learning and development.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Lead Teacher in maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom that encourages learning and play.
• Communicate effectively with families regarding student progress or needs, promoting partnership and support.
• Develop strong professional relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to encourage parent and community engagement.
• Adhere to all minimum licensing, quality-rated, and/or accreditation guidelines and company standards to maintain a high-quality standard of care.
• Prepare and serve meals and snacks for children, ensuring a healthy and nutritious diet.
• Utilize our science-based, proprietary curriculum and suggested supplement activities to create a fun and engaging learning environment tailored to each child's developmental needs.
• Maintain accurate daily records, including attendance, child portfolios, USDA documentation, and other records required by local agencies.
• Partner with team members and leadership to achieve goals around enrollment, accreditations, and family engagement, contributing to the center's success.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

• Genuine warmth and understanding of the needs of young children and their families.
• A positive attitude and self-image with a commitment to innovation and creativity.
• Strong communication skills with coworkers, parents, and children.
• HS Diploma or GED.
• The ability to pass the state-required criminal background check.

Preferred Qualifications
