As a Tutor/Resource Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing academic support to students, developing tutoring materials, and assisting with the operation of the Educational Resource Center (ERC).

Key Responsibilities

Provides tutoring and assistance to UA Cossatot students in all academic courses, developing strategies to support student needs and ensure academic success.
Works closely with faculty to ensure tutoring meets academic needs and quality standards, maintaining a high level of academic integrity.
Develops and implements tutoring materials and resources to support student learning, staying up-to-date with best practices in academic support.
Participates in ERC training sessions and staff meetings, contributing to the continuous improvement of the Educational Resource Center.
Maintains accurate records regarding tutoring services, as directed by the supervisor, to inform data-driven decision-making.
Demonstrates proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Word, and other technical/computer skills as required.
Maintains student confidentiality and conducts oneself in a professional and efficient manner, upholding the highest standards of integrity.

Essential Qualifications

Successful completion of at least 20 college credit hours with a strong GPA in coursework, demonstrating academic excellence.
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office and its programs, particularly Microsoft Word, to effectively support student learning.
Strong grammar skills, technical/computer skills, and knowledge of the MLA style of writing, ensuring high-quality academic support.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact with students, faculty, and staff in a professional and efficient manner.
Punctuality, adaptability, and ability to multi-task efficiently in a fast-paced work environment, demonstrating a strong work ethic.
Availability to work up to 25 hours per week during academic semesters, with some travel between campuses required.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience in academic support or tutoring, demonstrating a proven track record of success.
Knowledge of library circulation systems and textbook inventory management software, or willingness to learn.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.
