Stream is hiring an experienced Unreal Engine C++ Developer for a short-term contract (2-3 months) to help elevate our open-source Unreal SDK to the next level of quality and usability. This is a hands-on role with high visibility and impact. We’re looking for a developer based in the Netherlands, North Macedonia, or remotely within the EU.
What You’ll Be Working OnYou’ll contribute directly to the Stream Chat Unreal SDK, which is fully open source. Your core responsibility will be to identify areas for improvement across the SDK—including architecture, performance, and developer experience—and implement enhancements that align with best-in-class standards.

What You Bring5+ years of professional experience with C++ and Unreal Engine
A strong track record of building performant, reliable applications
Experience writing pragmatic, automated tests to ensure ongoing quality
A sharp eye for visual fidelity and user interface quality
Bonus: Prior experience developing SDKs or maintaining open-source projects
