Job Summary
We're offering a unique opportunity for a skilled and experienced Special Education Teacher to join our team in Redwood City, CA. As a Special Education Teacher with The Stepping Stones Group, you'll work in a full-time, school-based position, providing tailored support and instruction to students with special needs. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that cater to the unique needs and goals of each student
- Provide high-quality instruction and support to students with special needs, using evidence-based practices and strategies
- Collaborate with colleagues and other support staff to ensure a comprehensive and cohesive approach to student support
- Assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet the diverse needs of students
- Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and other stakeholders to ensure that students receive the support they need to succeed
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices and research-based strategies in special education
Essential Qualifications:
- Graduate from a teaching program
- Current license as a Special Education Teacher in CA
- Strong understanding of special education principles, practices, and laws
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
Preferred Qualifications:
- School experience, preferably in a special education setting
- Familiarity with IEP development and implementation
- Experience with differentiated instruction and assessment
