Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly qualified Music Teacher to fill a long-term substitute position at Montclair High School. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching music instruments to high school students, developing and implementing engaging lesson plans, and creating a supportive learning environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive music education programs for high school students, focusing on music theory, instrumental techniques, and performance skills
- Create and maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and engagement
- Plan and deliver lesson plans that align with state and national music education standards
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to help students improve their musical skills
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum, assessments, and school-wide music programs
- Communicate with parents and guardians to keep them informed about student progress and involve them in the educational process
- Participate in school-wide events, concerts, and performances to showcase student music talents

Essential Qualifications:
- Valid New Jersey teaching certification in Music Education (or ability to obtain)
- Bachelor's degree in Music Education or a related field
