As we continue to scale, we are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team and ensure our infrastructure's efficiency, security, and reliability
Role Overview
As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will design, implement, and maintain scalable and secure infrastructure for our educational platforms. You will work closely with software engineers to optimise CI/CD pipelines, automate deployment processes, and enhance system reliability. Your expertise in cloud services, containerisation, and automation will be key to driving operational excellence
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure focusing on scalability, performance, and security
- Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines to support efficient software development and deployment
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and application deployment
- Monitor system performance and security, responding proactively to incidents and optimizing resource utilisation
- Manage and optimise Kubernetes clusters, containerised applications, and microservices architecture
- Implement robust logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions to ensure system health and uptime
- Collaborate with software engineers to integrate DevOps best practices into the development lifecycle
- Ensure compliance with security standards and implement best access control and data protection practices
- Research and introduce new DevOps tools and methodologies to enhance system reliability and developer productivity
Requirements
Knowledge, skills, and abilities
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or a related role
- Expertise in GCP
- Extensive experience with Kubernetes
- Extensive experience with Linux system administration and networking
- Experience managing PostgreSQL installations
- Strong experience with CI/CD tools and pipelines (Jenkins, Circle CI, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or similar)
- Hands-on experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, or similar)
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, Bash, or similar languages
- Solid understanding of networking, security best practices, and system administration
- Ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and optimise system performance
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote environment
Nice to Haves
BSc in Computer Science or similar
Experience with GKE
Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform or similar)
Experience with C#/.NET
Experience with Entra or alternative SSO solutions
Experience or passion for education

Compensation & Benefits:
The expected starting pay range is 80,000€ - 110,000€/year. Miaplaza’s compensation philosophy ensures equity and competitiveness while considering the regional differences in living and labor costs. Specific rates will be provided during the hiring process and are aligned with market data and internal equity
