As a Senior Data Analyst/Engineer, you will be an integral part of this team, responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our data infrastructure, as well as analyzing complex data sets to uncover valuable insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and Implementation of Data Solutions: Develop and execute ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) code, leveraging SQL/NoSQL scripting and other relevant technologies to ensure seamless data integration and high data quality.
- Data Analysis and Validation: Analyze and validate existing data schedules, communicating findings and recommendations to stakeholders. Assist in data transformation, control, and presentation to clients.
- Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with Business Analysts, Business Knowledge Engineers, System Planners, and key business clients to assess, design, and develop data models and ETL processes.
- Support for Programming Teams: Provide data analysis and validation support to programming teams using extensive SQL queries.
- Information Integration System Management: Plan, organize, execute, monitor, and manage all aspects of Information Integration Systems, ensuring their reliability and performance.
- Guidance on Data Warehousing Solutions: Offer detailed guidance on Data Warehousing solutions, both cloud-based and on-premise, including Layered Modeling, Denormalized Data Structures, OLAP, and Data Warehousing concepts.
- Data Integration Best Practices: Define and enforce Data Integration best practices within our data management environment.
Essential Qualifications
To excel in this role, you must possess:
- A Bachelor's degree in Data Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field. Alternatively, 4 additional years of relevant work experience can substitute for a degree.
- A minimum of 5 years of active experience in database management systems, ELT/ETL systems, business intelligence tools, defect management, and system testing.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., SQL, NoSQL, Python).
- Knowledge of data exchange formats and database design and implementation concepts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- The ability to meet established deadlines and handle multiple client support requests with a commitment to service excellence.
Preferred Qualifications
While not mandatory, the following qualifications can significantly enhance your candidacy:
- Experience with cloud-based data warehousing solutions.
- Familiarity with layered modeling and denormalized data structures.
- Knowledge of OLAP and data warehousing concepts.
