Job Summary
We are seeking a RN Labor and Delivery to join our team on a 13-week travel assignment in Austin, Texas. The assignment starts ASAP, and you will work 12-hour shifts, 3 days a week. As a RN Labor and Delivery, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, supporting expectant mothers and families throughout the labor and delivery process, and working collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure excellent outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality patient care to expectant mothers and families throughout the labor and delivery process
- Assess patients' physical and emotional needs, and develop individualized care plans
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure excellent outcomes and implement evidence-based practices
- Monitor patients' progress, identify potential complications, and take prompt action to address concerns
- Provide education and support to patients and families on labor and delivery processes, postpartum care, and newborn care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, and communicate effectively with the healthcare team
Requirements:
Essential Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience as a RN in Labor and Delivery
- Current BLS certification
- National and state certification in Labor and Delivery (or willingness to obtain)
- RN license in the state of Texas (or willingness to obtain)
- Living 60 miles away from the facility to qualify for the travel rate
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMRs)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development
