Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Labcorp is seeking a Customer Service Support Representative for their Women’s Health - Every Mom Pledge team. This role involves assisting patients and clients with health insurance coverage, cost and payment options, and answering billing questions over the phone in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Ability to work in a high call volume environment (averaging ~75 calls per day)
- Ability to research and communicate complex information in a clear/concise manner
- Ability to navigate and work in multiple systems/websites simultaneously
- Provide assistance to prospective clients and patients regarding any questions or inquiries related to insurance coverage and financial responsibilities
- Receive and process credit card payments over the phone adhering to PCI compliance protocol
- Document telephone conversations clearly and accurately in the respective systems
- Update and maintain records in the billing system, including the review of accounts, payment collections and case notes
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines/regulations
- Assist with other duties as assigned

- Ability to follow established program protocols and procedures
- Ability to review large amounts of data for accuracy
- Must be organized and detail-oriented
- Computer proficiency - MS Windows, MS Office, and database experience
- Associates degree with at least 1+ year prior relevant work experience OR High School diploma/GED equivalent with at least 3 +years of relevant work experience
- Professionally fluent and proficient in both English/Spanish desired
- 5 plus years of experience in the specialty testing/genetics customer service preferred
- Healthcare experience preferred
- Knowledge of professional medical billing and collection practices preferred
- Previous customer service experience handling high call volume preferred
- Medicare/Medicaid billing experience preferred
- Knowledge of CPT and ICD10 codes highly preferred
- Experience with Laboratory Billing and Laboratory Information System (LIS) desired
- XIFIN experience preferred
- Bilingual in English and Spanish highly desirable
