Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Marvin Home Center is seeking a versatile and customer-oriented Home Services Technician to join their team. This full-time role involves hands-on work such as drywall, finish carpentry, and window/door installation, as well as maintenance jobs and customer service both in-store and on-site.
Responsibilities
- Manage And Perform Small Repair, Installation, And Maintenance Jobs For Residential And Light Commercial Customers And Marvin Headquarters And Visitor Center Buildings, Including But Not Limited To
- Drywall patching and repair
- Siding ang gutter repair
- Basic landscaping and trimming
- Pressure washing and window cleaning
- Window installation and adjustments
- Finish carpentry, trim work, and custom wood projects
- Shelving, cabinets, countertops, doors, window coverings, weatherstripping, and other handyman tasks
- Provide on-site evaluations to recommend solutions and materials
- Deliver excellent customer service both in-store and at job sites
- Safely operate hand and power tools in compliance with company and safety guidelines
- Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and time spent
- Load, transport, and unload materials for projects as needed
- Collaborate with store staff to ensure projects are completed efficiently and meet customer expectations
- This person will also be on call for company-owned Warroad Real Estate properties
- Performing routine maintenance
- Seasonal checkups
- Emergency repairs
- Coordinating advanced repairs with preferred contractors and managing the needed repairs until completion
Skills
- Proven handyman, maintenance, or construction experience
- Required skills: drywall repair, window and door installation, and finish carpentry
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Comfortable working at various heights on ladders and in confined/small spaces when needed
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and work in a variety of indoor and outdoor conditions
