Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in project-specific design review processes, focusing on reducing total cost of ownership (TCO) while maintaining Google standards
- Collaborate with consulting engineers to develop construction documents and detailed design standards
- Work closely with general contractors to ensure timely completion of design details and assigned design elements
- Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and ensure compliance with Google's design intent, local codes, and regulations
- Provide technical support for startup and commissioning processes, ensuring seamless system integration and operation
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
- At least 2 years of experience in designing and operating critical facilities, such as data centers, power plants, or industrial settings
- Proficiency in assessing, designing, and commissioning central utility plants, water treatment systems, air distribution systems, and PLC/SCADA control systems
- Preferred qualifications: Professional Engineering License, experience with project TCO, construction management, and large-scale critical facility mechanical systems
