About the Role: Part-Time Remote Intervention Specialist
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Intervention Specialist to join our team on a part-time remote basis. As an Intervention Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing targeted and intensive supports to students across our online educational platforms. This position requires a deep understanding of instructional best practices, a passion for helping students achieve their full potential, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver intensive interventions to small groups of students using research-based instructional best practices in an online environment.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to determine proper targeted supports for students with diverse needs.
- Communicate support, rationale, and feedback to appropriate stakeholders, including students, educators, and parents.
- Use data to drive decisions regarding strategies, instruction, and paths of growth for students.
- Coordinate student transitions with appropriate stakeholders to ensure seamless support.
- Work effectively and efficiently within a communication process for internal and external stakeholders.
- Create and communicate an intervention schedule to internal and external stakeholders.
- Interface with customers via email, chat, and phone to provide support and resolve inquiries.
- Research customer inquiries thoroughly to provide suggestions and resolutions.
- Communicate professionally in all written and verbal interactions.
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of 2 years of teaching or academic intervention experience, or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
- An active teaching certification/license.
- Experience supporting students and educators in a blended, virtual, or online learning environment.
- Highly motivated with excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to generate creative solutions and provide ideas to assist students and educators with a growth mindset.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities with demanding timeframes.
- The ability to demonstrate sensitivity to the needs and concerns of others.
- The ability to work collaboratively with colleagues to create a high-quality, results-driven, team-oriented environment.
- Willingness and ability to work flexible hours.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, online video chat, and database software.
- The ability to provide a current Fingerprint Clearance Card or provide proof of application within 7 days (upon hire).
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable:
- An understanding of student interventions best practices.
- Experience working in an education technology company.
- A background in special education or working with students with diverse needs.
