Job Summary
As a Part-Time Assistant Manager at rue21, you'll play a key role in leading our sales team and providing an exceptional customer experience. You'll be responsible for driving sales, managing inventory, and developing your team members to reach their full potential. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the sales team to achieve sales goals and provide exceptional customer service.
- Manage inventory, including receiving, stocking, and merchandising products.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to drive business results.
- Coach and mentor team members to improve performance and achieve sales goals.
- Maintain a high level of salesfloor awareness to prevent product loss and ensure a safe shopping environment.
- Support the Store Manager in managing the store and implementing company initiatives.
- Participate in visual merchandising and store displays to create an engaging shopping environment.
- Analyze sales data and make recommendations to improve sales performance.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Prior leadership experience preferred, but not required.
- Retail experience is not necessary, but it's a plus.
- Flexible availability required, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours per day.
- Ability to lift and carry boxes up to 40lbs.
- Ability to climb and balance on ladders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Fashion industry experience.
- Leadership experience in a retail environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math skills and ability to analyze sales data.
