Lutheran Services Florida (LSF) is seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher I to join our team in Saint Petersburg, FL. As a lead worker in the classroom, you will play a vital role in planning and implementing educational activities for pre-school aged children or infants/toddlers in our Head Start/Early Heart Start Program.
About the Role:
As a Preschool Teacher I, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment that promotes the social, emotional, and cognitive development of our young students. Your duties will include:
- Developing and implementing daily lesson plans that cater to the unique needs of each child
- Conducting screenings and assessments to identify areas of strength and weakness
- Creating individualized education plans to support each child's growth and development
- Maintaining a safe and healthy environment, including monitoring meal and snack periods, classroom and restroom activities, and playground activities
- Communicating effectively with parents through conferences, written correspondence, and telephone updates
- Collaborating with other staff members to ensure a comprehensive and supportive approach to early childhood education
