Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Cash Handling Clerk to join our team at Workwarp. As a Cash Handling Clerk, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service, processing transactions, and maintaining the overall appearance of our store. This is a part-time opportunity, working 30 hours or less per week, with a competitive hourly rate of $18.50.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently
- Maintain a high level of customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a professional manner
- Support team efforts and communicate effectively with management and colleagues
- Maintain the confidentiality and safety of files and information
- Perform tasks outside of job description as assigned by supervisor
Cashier Responsibilities:
- Process customer orders and maintain a clean and organized retail environment
- Organize products on shelves and display merchandise with precision
- Provide thorough reports and analysis to management on products, inventory losses, and scanning issues
- Contribute to store inventory counting and monitoring inventory precision
- Implement and adhere to cash handling policies and procedures to minimize financial losses
Stocker Responsibilities:
- Replenish shelves with fresh food items and maintain attractive displays
- Follow merchandising planograms to create effective and visually stimulating product displays
- Logically arrange newly arrived inventory and eliminate empty containers
- Manage equipment and abide by prescribed safety practices
Physical Demands:
This role requires a range of physical activities, including sitting, standing, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying, and walking. You must be able to move store commodities from receiving to shelving, sort items weighing up to 45 pounds, and operate equipment safely.
Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years or older
- Ability to provide timely and polite service to customers
- Capacity to perform routine cleaning tasks and comply with company norms
- Effective communication and time management skills
- Knowledge of company offerings and ability to work with cash register proficiently
- Ability to adapt to individual and team-based tasks
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent certification required
- Previous retail experience preferred
- Combination of education and hands-on experience resulting in analogous understanding
