Job Summary
We're seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Customer Service Associate. As a key member of our sales floor team, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing sales transactions, maintaining store security and cleanliness, and contributing to a positive and respectful work environment. Key Responsibilities
- Assist customers with questions and recommendations, ensuring they find the products they need and leave our stores with a smile.
- Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register, maintaining accuracy and efficiency in all transactions.
- Maintain the security of cash and protect company assets, adhering to our strict security protocols and procedures.
- Keep the store well-stocked, recovering merchandise and ensuring that shelves are fully stocked and visually appealing.
- Receive merchandise and assist with unloading trucks, stock replenishment in accordance with productivity standards, and maintain a safe and efficient receiving process.
- Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment while maintaining professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders.
- Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness throughout the store, including cleaning and restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, taking out the trash, and ensuring all areas are neat and presentable.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management, including participating in visual merchandising, inventory management, and special projects.
Skills and Experience
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent, with previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment highly preferred.
- The ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents, with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- The physical ability to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
- Excellent customer service and relationship management skills, with a strong focus on building long-term relationships with customers.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound judgments.
