As a Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you will be the face of our company, providing top-notch service to our valued customers while ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for everyone. **Key Responsibilities:**
* Provide a warm and welcoming greeting to all customers upon entering the store or on the phone, setting the tone for a positive and memorable experience.
* Take the time to get to know our customers, learning their names and preferences to provide personalized service that exceeds their expectations.
* Go above and beyond to make our customers feel valued and appreciated, whether it's through a simple smile or a thoughtful gesture.
* Move quickly and efficiently to provide fast and friendly service, ensuring that our customers receive the attention they deserve.
* Help our customers make informed purchasing decisions by pointing out promotional items and suggesting complementary products that meet their needs.

In addition to providing exceptional customer service, you will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment within the store and surrounding areas. This includes:
* Cleaning and housekeeping duties, such as sweeping and mopping floors, emptying trash cans, and restocking soap and toilet paper.
* Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the transaction counter, shelves, and food service area.
* Ensuring that the parking lot, windows, and doors are clean and free of debris.
* Stocking merchandise, facing shelves, and rotating inventory to ensure that products are easily accessible and visually appealing.
* Performing basic math computations to count back change and handle cash and credit transactions.
* Adhering to policies on age-restricted product sales and inventory control, including observing and reacting to shoplifters and gas theft.
**Position Requirements:**
* Ability to lift, bend, and stand for up to eight hours, with the ability to lift 50 pounds and push/pull 45 pounds.
* Ability to work in a cooler at a temperature of 32 degrees.
* Ability to climb a two to five foot ladder and maintain balance to clean windows and stock and arrange coolers and shelves.
* Ability to react to a fire by lifting a fire extinguisher weighing 10 pounds and moving it to the fire area.
* Ability to speak, read, and write English and communicate with customers in English.
* Basic math skills and ability to perform basic math computations.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of energy and enthusiasm.
