Farmington Public Schools is seeking a compassionate and experienced Homebound Tutor to provide personalized instruction to students who are unable to attend school due to medical or other challenges. As a Homebound Tutor, you will play a vital role in ensuring that these students continue to receive a high-quality education and achieve their academic goals.
About the Role:
- Provide one-on-one tutoring services to students in various grade levels and subject areas
- Develop and maintain a positive and supportive relationship with students, teachers, and parents
- Create a customized learning plan to meet the unique needs of each student
- Deliver instruction in a flexible and engaging manner, using a variety of teaching methods and resources
- Communicate regularly with teachers and other support staff to ensure continuity of instruction
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop and maintain a positive rapport with students, teachers, and parents
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Prior experience working with school-age children is preferred
- Consideration will be given to candidates with life/work experiences that contribute to their overall preparedness
What We Offer:
- Competitive salary: $25.00 per hour (Bachelor's degree) or $30.00 per hour (State of CT Certification)
