About the Role

We are looking for a veteran and particularly skilled Senior Technical Designer to partner closely with all members of the design team to assist them in implementing features and content in a clever, sturdy, and pragmatic way. As a Senior Technical Designer, you will act as a force multiplier, extending the capability and ability of the design crew. Key Responsibilities

• Leverage your UE knowledge to assist and teach different designers, promoting best practices and technical excellence within the team.
• Raise the technical capability and rigor of the design crew by promoting correct practices and identifying areas for improvement.
• Proactively seek out workflow and tool upgrades, staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies.
• Assist designers in troubleshooting and implementing solutions, providing guidance and support as needed.
• Implement strong, maintainable content and features in Unreal/Blueprint, ensuring high-quality and efficient game development.
• Write design specs, vet them with stakeholders, and make intelligent changes, demonstrating your ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

• Expert knowledge of Unreal Engine and its capabilities (esp. Blueprint, UMG, Animation Blueprint, Gameplay Ability System).
• Foundations of 3D math, with a strong understanding of mathematical concepts and their application in game development.
• Good-sized programming capability with C++, with experience in programming languages and software development.
• 2+ years of experience in a technical design position, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality game development projects.
• 1+ shipped titles in Unreal, demonstrating your ability to work on large-scale game development projects.
• Experience delivering great multiplayer games, with a strong understanding of online gaming and network programming.
• Fantastic communication and collaboration capabilities, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Adour for gaming, incubating, building, and shipping video games, with a passion for creating engaging and immersive gaming experiences.

Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, the following skills and qualifications are highly desirable:

• Programming experience in Python, C#, and/or Lua, with a strong understanding of programming languages and software development.
