As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining the complex software systems that underpin Apple's iCloud and Apple Services. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-scale, efficient, and reliable software systems for iCloud and Apple Services, including data models, APIs, caching strategies, and microservices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements, and develop technical solutions that meet those needs.
• Develop and maintain high-performance distributed systems, with a focus on scalability, reliability, and efficiency.
• Participate in the development of technical roadmaps and architectures for new and existing systems, and contribute to the definition of technical standards and best practices.
• Work closely with other engineering teams across Apple to ensure seamless integration and delivery of services.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, and contribute to the development of debugging tools and techniques.

Essential Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience building high-scale Java services, with a strong understanding of software engineering principles and practices.
• Proficiency in real-time and multi-threaded programming concepts, with experience developing high-performance distributed systems.
• Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with a passion for quality and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with NoSQL databases, such as Cassandra, is a plus.
• Knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, and jQuery is desirable.
• Experience with cloud-based services and technologies, such as AWS or Azure, is an advantage.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
