Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join our Bookkeeping and Expense team. As a Senior Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, availability, and communication of financial data that drives our data-driven culture. You will work closely with the Accounting Manager and Accounting team to implement US GAAP and legal accounting and reporting for our European entities. Key Responsibilities

• Ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures, internal and external audit requirements, and local laws and regulations
• Supporting the strengthening of financial processes and controls
• Preparing monthly reconciliations for US GAAP and legal financial reporting
• Providing accounting and financial analysis to senior management and other stakeholders as necessary
• Identifying and analyzing material profit and loss accounts
• Driving continuous improvement across functional areas
• Participating in local, regional, and global projects as required
• Staying up-to-date with regulatory changes in all jurisdictions where blithequark operates

Essential Qualifications

• Experience in international accounting and reporting requirements, including US GAAP
• A thorough understanding of financial control requirements, such as SOX 404 requirements
• Strong interpersonal skills and a proven ability to work and influence stakeholders
• Excellent documentation and communication skills, with fluency in English (written and verbal)
• Ability to work with tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities
• Proven ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable with managing and analyzing large volumes of data
