Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic, customer-obsessed, and prepared self-starter to join our team as a Data Entry Specialist. This role is chartered with acquiring, developing, and managing high-value data that enhances our product selection, pricing, and convenience for our customers. Specifically, this position will be responsible for analyzing product selection gaps and executing strategies to attract key marketplace players to join our e-commerce platform, maximizing our product selection and customer base.
Key Responsibilities
- Growing a thorough understanding of the marketplace segment, seasonality, and global developments/activities, and continuously monitoring competitor efforts.
- Identifying, prospecting, and acquiring high-potential sellers to our platform via direct sales visits, events, and presentations.
- Guiding sellers through sharing best practices of online selling, including data-driven insights that help sellers achieve high standards of delivery, customer satisfaction, and business objectives.
- Participating with and influencing internal and external stakeholders to recognize and resolve vendor problems.
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- 1 to 3 years of successful enterprise-class sales experience, preferably in the e-commerce, technology, retail, or FMCG industries.
- Demonstrated achievement in exceeding sales targets using a consultative and solutions-focused approach.
- Experience promoting new products/offering into new markets is strongly favored.
- Advanced communication and presentation skills, a strong working understanding of Excel and MS Office programs, and the ability to thrive in an ambiguous environment.
- Remarkable business judgment with strong written and oral communication skills.
- Advanced analytical abilities and quantitative skills, with the ability to work with complex financial data.
- Polished communication skills, including speaking, writing, presenting, and negotiating.
- Ability to think and lead in a high-energy, fast-paced environment, with a hands-on approach to managing responsibilities and demonstrated ability to manage multiple, competing priorities concurrently.
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications are preferred:
- 2+ years of e-commerce experience.
- 3+ years of experience in the consumer electronics sector.
- 3+ years of direct sales experience.
