Key Responsibilities
- Keep informed of day-to-day airline operations involving your field of responsibility, staying up-to-date with the latest developments and trends in the industry.
- Assess daily priorities in accordance with airline/departmental objectives and management directives, ensuring that you're focused on the most critical tasks and projects.
- Investigate aircraft/component problems that may cause aircraft delays or cancellations, substantial expenditures in manpower or materials, or interruptions in maintenance operations, and determine appropriate corrective actions.
- Provide Engineering support as required for the disposition of discrepant conditions affecting aircraft or components, restoring serviceable status and ensuring minimal downtime.
- Respond to requests from Maintenance and other airline departments when technical assistance is required to support projects or resolve problems, collaborating with colleagues to find solutions.
- Develop action plans for fleet/multi-fleet and/or component engineering projects, pursuing final dispositions according to assessed priorities and ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Coordinate with other airline departments, as required, to provide for effective and efficient implementation of engineering dispositions, communicating clearly and working collaboratively to achieve shared goals.
- Prepare Engineering documents to implement technical dispositions, providing customized procedures for repairs, modifications, inspections, or other maintenance actions that provide benefits in accordance with airline/departmental objectives and management directives.
