Key Responsibilities

• Operating Ground Equipment: Safely operate ground equipment such as tug tractors, belt loaders, and other machinery to facilitate the loading and unloading of cargo and baggage.
• Protecting Cargo and Baggage: Ensure that cargo, mail, and baggage are protected from damage, loss, and weather conditions during handling and transportation.
• Utilizing Technology: Use cargo scanners and computers to ensure accurate processing and tracking of cargo and baggage.
• Adapting to Scheduling Needs: Work a variable schedule, including early morning and late shifts, and be flexible to work between 20 and 40 hours per week based on operational requirements.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• The ability to lift up to 50-70 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn new systems
• A valid driver's license (in some locations)
• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment with varying weather conditions
