About the Opportunity
We're seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Overnight Consult-Liaison Psychiatrist to join our team of esteemed clinicians. This 100% remote opportunity allows you to provide exceptional care to patients in inpatient and emergency department settings from the comfort of your own home. As a Consult-Liaison Psychiatrist with Iris Telehealth, you'll be working with a prestigious partner - a Texas-based, nationally recognized, award-winning health system known for its commitment to innovation, patient-centered care, and clinical excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality consult-liaison psychiatry services to patients in inpatient and emergency department settings
- Conduct thorough assessments and develop effective treatment plans for patients across various age groups (5+ years old in ER settings preferred)
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and optimal patient outcomes
- Work 15 overnight shifts per month, including weekends, with a schedule starting at 7-9 pm CST
- Supervise and support Iris clinicians, including PMHNPs, to ensure high-quality patient care
Essential and Preferred Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- A current Texas medical license or IMLC certification
- Board certification in psychiatry
- Experience in consult-liaison psychiatry, inpatient, and ED/ER settings
- Strong clinical skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Preferred qualifications include:
- Experience working with diverse patient populations and age groups
- Strong background in telepsychiatry or willingness to learn
- Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits

- A competitive hourly rate of $175/hour, with eligibility for a sign-on bonus
