Key Responsibilities
- Provide instructional and non-instructional support to teachers and staff, ensuring a smooth and effective learning environment.
- Assist with materials preparation, supply management, and copying, freeing up teachers to focus on instruction.
- Monitor and support student progress in the classroom, working with individual students or small groups as directed by certificated staff.
- Record observations and data regarding student progress, providing valuable insights for teachers and administrators.
- Participate in before or after school activities, field trips, and other outings, ensuring a safe and engaging experience for students.
- Collaborate with staff members to achieve common goals, sharing knowledge and expertise to support student success.
- Maintain confidentiality with student and employee records, upholding the highest standards of professionalism.
- Demonstrate multicultural sensitivity and a commitment to equity, working effectively with diverse populations.
- Perform clerical and other support tasks as assigned, contributing to the overall efficiency of the school.
- Supervise students in non-classroom settings, such as the lunchroom, playground, or crosswalks, ensuring a safe and respectful environment.
Essential Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following requirements:
- High school graduation or equivalent.
- One of the following: ETS Paraeducator Assessment, Associate of Arts degree, 72 quarter credits or 48 semester credits at an institution of higher education, or completion of a registered apprenticeship program.
- Basic academic knowledge in core content areas, with a focus on math and reading.
- Understanding of child development principles and practices.
- Awareness of cultural and racial diversity, with a commitment to equity and inclusivity.
- Basic computer skills, including keyboarding and data entry.
- Knowledge of basic safety and emergency procedures, including hygiene and cleanliness.
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are highly valued:
- Experience working in a school setting, supporting students and staff.
- Associate's degree or equivalent, demonstrating a higher level of academic achievement.

Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary range of $23.35 to $24.99 per hour, with a starting hourly rate of $23.35.
