Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and passionate English Language Arts and Social Studies Teacher to join our team at Tse` Yi` Gai High School. As a key member of our faculty, you will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging lesson plans, assessing student progress, and fostering a love of learning in your students. Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners
- Assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet the needs of individual students
- Foster a love of learning in students and promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure student success
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in teaching and learning
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum and instructional strategies

Essential Qualifications
To be considered for this position, you must possess the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in English Language Arts, Social Studies, or a related field
- A valid New Mexico teaching license with endorsements in English Language Arts and Social Studies
- Proven experience in teaching English Language Arts and Social Studies at the secondary level
- Strong knowledge of curriculum design and instructional strategies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced educational environment
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:
- Master's degree in English Language Arts, Social Studies, or a related field
- Experience with online learning platforms and educational software

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits
Gallup McKinley County Schools offers a competitive salary and benefits package, including:
- A minimum salary of $55,999.00 and a maximum salary of $78,443.00
- A comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off
- Signing incentives of up to $22,000, depending on qualifications and experience
- Relocation expenses of up to $4,500, depending on distance
- Free rent and utilities for secondary housing
