As a Shop Helper, you will play a crucial role in the assembly and maintenance of heavy-duty industrial equipment, working closely with our experienced team to ensure the highest quality standards are met. In this key position, you will be responsible for assisting in the assembly and maintenance of industrial equipment, including water tube and firetube boilers. Your duties will include rolling, prepping, and installing tubes, handling lagging, casing, corner trim, and beauty rings for final assembly, and assisting with testing, including hydro and air tests. You will also operate saws and other tools as needed, bolt together stainless steel parts and other components, and clean and prep materials for piping, ladders, platforms, and other key components.
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a strong work ethic and the ability to handle the physical demands of the job. You should be comfortable working with tools, saws, and bolting equipment, and be committed to working safely and following protocols at all times. Flexibility and a willingness to pitch in wherever needed are also essential, as you will be working on a variety of tasks and projects.
