Job Summary
We are looking for a highly motivated and organized individual to fill the position of Data Entry Clerk. Key Responsibilities
The key responsibilities of the Data Entry Clerk position include:
- Printing and preparing field cards and reports for field data collectors
- Tracking fieldwork sign-out/sign-in to ensure that all data is accurately recorded and up-to-date
- Preparing data for computer entry by compiling and sorting information, which includes reviewing and verifying the accuracy of data
- Inputting information from field data property cards in a timely and efficient manner, while maintaining high levels of accuracy and attention to detail
- Comparing data against field and aerial photos to ensure that all information is consistent and accurate
- Verifying the accuracy of data inputted into the computer system, which includes performing quality checks and making corrections as necessary
- Maintaining operations by following policies and procedures, which includes adhering to confidentiality agreements and maintaining the security of sensitive information
- Maintaining County and taxpayer confidence by keeping information confidential and handling sensitive data with discretion
- Contributing to team effort by accomplishing additional tasks as needed, which includes providing support to colleagues and participating in team meetings and discussions
- Answering phones for the reassessment office, which includes responding to inquiries and providing information to taxpayers and other stakeholders
- Responsibility for various projects, which includes working with the project manager to achieve project goals and objectives
- Maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor with County and taxpayers, which includes providing excellent customer service and responding to inquiries in a timely and efficient manner
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience in data entry or a related field, which includes experience with computer systems and software applications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, which includes the ability to work effectively with colleagues and communicate with taxpayers and other stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, which includes the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines, which includes the ability to work under pressure and maintain high levels of productivity
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and data entry software, which includes the ability to learn new systems and software applications quickly
Preferred Qualifications

- Post-secondary education in a related field, such as business administration or computer science
- Previous experience working in a government or public sector environment, which includes experience with property reassessment projects or similar initiatives
