About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Data Entry and Business Intelligence Professional to join our team at blithequark. As a Data Expert, you will be responsible for designing and maintaining reports, providing departmental insights on performance, and building data models to solve various measurable challenges. You will work closely with our technology team and business analysts to meet departmental demands and drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Reporting and Data Analysis: Create new, modify existing, and execute ad-hoc reporting in support of business processes and data-driven decision making. Develop relevant dashboards on Power BI and Excel to provide actionable insights.
• Data Quality and Integrity: Establish robust Data Quality specifications and controls to ensure data integrity and accessibility. Handle and create new records pipelines from source devices to the Data Warehouse.
• Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with Management and Business Analysts to identify business requirements, maintain comprehensive documentation, and obtain business sign-offs for all reporting requirements.
• Data Pipeline Development: Generate, sustain, and cultivate scalable records pipes and data design. Leverage data storytelling principles to create clear and impactful data visualizations using Power BI.
• Process Automation and Improvement: Aid in automating existing business processes and improving exception-based reporting. Collaborate with IT and Business Analysts to research, investigate, and acquire new data variables (data exploration).
• Data Validation and Error Remediation: Analyze large datasets to identify meaningful patterns that provide actionable results. Validate data for accuracy by verifying against standards and remediate poor data.
• Data Governance: Contribute to the Data Governance policy by updating the data dictionary and policy & procedures. Analyze and confirm metrics are effective and provide feedback to department leaders on trends that require attention.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following essential qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience performing in-depth record analysis.
• Solid experience working with Power BI, including creating reports, dashboards, and data visualizations.
• Knowledge of DAX, SQL, and M Code.
• Proficient in SQL, able to create complex SQL queries to generate reports and analytics.
• Experience with ETL tools, including SSIS, Power BI Dataflows, or other Big Data integrations.
• Strong data modeling experience using star schema or other techniques.
• Problem-solving skills through statistical analysis with large data sets.
• Expertise with SSMS (SQL Server Management Studio), Power BI, and Power Query.
• Experience with Smartsheets.
• Strong work ethic and commitment to meeting project deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a remote environment with a distributed team.
• Knowledge of data governance policies and procedures.
