This exciting opportunity is part of our Payments and Digital Strategy team at arenaflex Credit Union. As a Member Services Representative, you'll be responsible for a range of tasks related to payment processing, item processing, direct bills, and fund transfers. Key Responsibilities
- Complete data entry and balancing tasks with precision and attention to detail
- Coordinate return items with members, vendors, the Federal Reserve Bank, and other institutions
- Assist other departments with fraud resolution, member inquiries, and related accounting standard ledger balancing
- Work on member cases and projects assigned to you, ensuring timely and effective resolution
- Follow and maintain guidelines and procedures to ensure strict compliance with NACHA regulations and guidelines, as well as Federal Banking laws
- Process loan payments, multi-account and member deposits, credit card payments, and other checks, including IRA, bankruptcy, and payoff checks
- Review, examine, and approve Remote Deposit, Mobile, ATM, and other imaged-enabled products
- Log, report, and make necessary GL, account changes, and/or returns
- Process Stop Pays and Check Batching, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
- Complete daily balancing and department closing tasks, maintaining a high level of organization and attention to detail
- Obtain information from members for timely and accurate processing of international and domestic fund transfer requests
- Research and confirm incoming and outgoing fund transfer information, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations
- Communicate with vendors to process fund transfers, providing exceptional customer service and support
- Understand and be familiar with outgoing and incoming fund transfer laws, regulations, and procedures
- Deposit check returns, research member bad checks on draft changes, process member checks, confirm members for outgoing fund transfers, and Federal Reserve verifying and releasing fund transfers
- Complete daily processing of workflows related to late returns, supply of receipts, foreign collections, and legal fees
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- A high school diploma or GED
- Intermediate Excel and Word skills, with the ability to learn and adapt to new software and systems
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable:
- Previous customer/member service experience, preferably in a banking or credit union environment
- Previous experience with Episys/Symitar and processing wires
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
