As a Client Engineer - Security Specialist, you will play a critical role in helping our clients achieve their security goals by providing expert guidance and support on our cloud security products and solutions.
In this role, you will work closely with our Security Sales and Google Cloud teams to identify and qualify business opportunities, understand client technical and compliance objections, and develop strategies to resolve technical blockers. You will also be responsible for demonstrating and validating solution benefits in client and partner environments, owning technical aspects of solutions, and delivering technical presentations and product briefings to clients, partners, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Security Sales and Google Cloud teams to identify and qualify business opportunities and develop strategies to resolve technical blockers.
- Work with all Google Cloud Security products to demonstrate and validate solution benefits in client and partner environments.
- Support Google Cloud Security opportunities and connections, own technical aspects of solutions, and deliver technical presentations, product and solution briefings, proofs-of-concept, and demos to clients, partners, and stakeholders.
- Develop and deliver messaging to highlight our solutions' value proposition using various methods, including presentations, product demonstrations, white papers, trial management, and response papers.
- Attend client sites, meetings, and other related events as necessary.
Essential Qualifications
- Four-year certification or equivalent functional experience.
- 10 years of experience working with security or cloud infrastructures in a client-facing role.
- Experience in cybersecurity (e.g., threat detection, malware expertise, cloud security management, or identity and access management frameworks).
Preferred Qualifications
- Graduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or a related field.
- Certification in the Cloud or Security industry.
- Experience in implementing security solutions for enterprises (e.g., threat detection and hunting, malware expertise, cloud security management, identity and access management frameworks, or SIEM and SOAR).
- Knowledge of product and solution market trends in the cybersecurity industry (e.g., ransomware, attack frameworks, zero trust, etc.).
- Ability to communicate effectively and deliver technical presentations.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, presentation, and listening skills.
